From a young age, Jade MayJean had both the passion and enviable talent for singing. From the moment she could hold a tune, Jade hasn’t stopped performing and it is both her dedication and incredible, natural voice that mean she has propelled herself into a musical force to be reckoned with.
After a number of years performing nationally as a solo performer and with her band, singing everything from dance tracks to 90s pop, at events, gigs, festivals and more, Jade longed to go back to her singer-songwriter roots and strip it all back. While continuing to gig all over the country, the last year has seen Jade MayJean return to the studio to write her beautiful debut album with producer Kevin Duncan, which was released in April 2018. The influence of timeless icons, such as Amy Winehouse, Dusty Springfield and Paloma Faith, alongside her modern twist, result in startlingly honest lyrics which effortlessly collide and entwine with ridiculously catchy hooks. Jade has achieved exactly what she set out to do and the new album perfectly showcases her raw talent both vocally and as a songwriter. Now signed to GingerDog Records, who have recorded and produced the debut, Jade hopes to illustrate to the world exactly what she’s really made of.
